The Swan Inn, Knowl Sands, near Bridgnorth has undergone a recent re-fit and now enjoys a new lease of life under the capable guise of Chef Patron Jamie Bailey, and partner Louise Davies.
Jamie is well known across the region. Working locally at The Redfern Hotel gaining 2 Rosettes, and now in-situ at the Swan.
Keen to build up the trade after a few years of neglect, the Swan (previously Severn Gastro) now has undergone a refit, offering warm, subtle colour schemes, a welcoming bar, and wide choice of seating areas to sit, relax and enjoy a pint of Hobsons, or a great wine selection - or indulge in the capably prepared menu.
Stunning Views – The Swan offers views of the Severn Valley, across the river valley, with the Severn Valley Railway below. Bridgnorth’s castle walls can be seen raised up above, in the distance. Just a mile from Bridgnorth centre boasts an unrivalled panorama of fields in innumerable shades of green.
Newly Refurbished ~ The views can be fully appreciated from either the comfort of the conservatory or, alfresco on the patio overlooking the river.
Separate Function Room ~ Also available and seats up to eighty people. Opening onto the patio overlooking the valley below it makes for a great venue for any number of events. Menus can be designed to meet individual requirements and all enquiries are welcome .
Accommodation ~ There are six letting bedrooms at the swan that are often the way point for wary fishermen pitting themselves against the wits of river seven’s plentiful stocks. Surrounded by tourist attractions, including the Severn Valley Steam Railway and Ironbridge Gorge Museums.
It’s the perfect setting to sit and relax with the family on a Sunday or loved one, or business partner during the week.
