This astonishing Victorian pub - a temple to the ornate art of the tiler - was being left to rot until the present owners. Oakham Ales. stepped in.
 

And the surprises don't stop there. The historic pub now specialises in Thai food and has three Thai chefs hard at work in the busy kitchen turning out a droolingly-wide range of delicious dishes at great prices.

There are some wonderful beers on offer too. A rather strange but happy experience.
