City CafeFresh. modern and good-looking - that's City Cafe. both in its decor and its food. As is the rule with many of Birmingham's modern restaurants. it's a big place. Lots of glass. strong lines. strong but very simple and understated. it is the very model of a modern restaurant interior. The menu shows laudable ambition and innovation. with imaginative dishes that trawl the world for inspiration and are made special by competent cooking and quality of produce. Great care is taken over presentation and prices are sensible. There's a good value stuff-yourself-silly buffet on Sunday lunchtimes.
