Bare bistro-style tables. arty flowers and matey staff can't quite save the restaurant here from the corporate hotel feel (it's too big for a start) but it's a pleasant enough place.

 And unusually for the NEC complex. it has a decent view too - of the lake.

 The food is robust and apart from some transglobal curiosities can lay serious claim to the ubiquitous "modern British" tag.
