DenialDoolally. as it's pronounced. is a swish. feelgood Indian restaurant in the eatere-packed suburb of Moseley. It's named Deolali after the Indian town where bored British soldiers went barmy waiting for a ship home but nothing is likely to disturb your sanity here (unless you object to James Blunt on a loop). The suroundings are all timbered. beamed. rustic chic. Staff are numerous and obliging and the food. while sticking mostly to the tried and tested. is surprisingly good. There's real care taken here and everything tastes wonderfully fresh and carefully spiced. See the Birmingham Post review in full in the archive section. Food: Traditional Not ![]() |
