ItihaasAn awful lot of money has been put into this big place on the corner of Newhall Street which straddles the business and jewellery quarters. And it looks like it has paid off - Itihaas was named best Indian restaurant in the country in 2006. The decor is opulent. if a little odd in places with chandeliers lining one half of the dining room and a collection of lanterns on the other. But the food is very good and obviously freshly made. with more unusual dishes that come not just from India but also from Kenya and there are Chinese influences here and there too.
