MacKenzies Bar and Dining RoomA new (summer 2004) and very welcome arrival on the city scene. Mackenzie's aims high and makes some big claims but it is actually just as good as it says. It occupies the old Quo Vadis site in the city's courts quarter but has transformed it with a new light and airy look - all very upmarket and stylish but relaxed with it. The eating area takes precedence over the 'bar' side. which seems negligible. but the priorities are well-grounded as the food is very good - straightforward. modern good quality.
