PeppersContemporary surroundings (including an amazing Michelangelo-style mural on the ceiling) form a smart backdrop to this. "Birmingham's first Bollywood champagne bar and restaurant". What used to be straightforward Indian fare has now been turned into a "whirlwind tour of south Asia". The resulting catch-all mix of Indian and Chinese dishes. with the odd touch of Thai and English. makes for an overload of choice and doesn't hang together particularly well. Still. most of it is pretty decent and it's still a preferable stop-off before or after a trip to the UGC cinema next door than the neighbouring chains.  See the original Post review in full on the archive page.
