Zinc Bar and GrillZinc Bar and Grill Birmingham is cleverly designed. sparse and beautifully-lit. A hefty spiral staircase to the first floor is the star of the show. This upstairs space is wonderful. a fabulous place to sit. with a terrace lining the frontage over the canal basin which beckons in warm weather. Once it was all dining room but the bar has proved more successful and drinkers have consequently taken over part of it. The menu is straightforward. prices are pretty much the going rate for the quality (decent) and service is friendly. Starters may include Loch Fyne smoked salmon or caesar salad while mains feature hearty and homely stuff such as honey-roast pork belly with champ or steak and kidney pie. It's all nicely unfaffy yet in a chic. urban setting. See the Birmingham Post review in full on the archive page. Food: Traditional Not
