RussellsIn this beautiful Cotswolds village. a very chic and modern restaurant is housed within the ancient. honeyed walls of 20 High Street. It used to be the base of renowned furniture designer Gordon Russell. hence the name. The co-owner of the new eaterie is Barry Hancox. who used to be manager of the neary Lygon Arms. Here. with partner Andrew Riley. he's created a lovely upmarket venue. Pricy. as you'd expect. but with seriously aspirational food using class ingredients and interesting flavour combinations. The execution was a mite patchy on an inspection visit but the overall impression was of one classy joint. See the original Birmingham Post review in full in the archive section.
