In this tiny village. top chef Sonya Kidney's neat. unassuming stone pub looks rather unremarkable considering its fierce gastro.

 Inside. it can be a bit on the cheek-by-jowl side but the look is pleasant and informal - just the right sort of blend of trendy and tradition.

 The menu - chalked up on a blackboard on a central pillar of the pub - fires on all cylinders of a hot-wired foodie imagination.

 It gets very. very busy but they take care to make sure the drinking locals are not excluded by diners.
