Ebrington ArmsAnother excellent pub. all honeyed Cotswold stone. in a pretty village - just how lucky can this area get? The Ebrington Arms feels like a proper pub too. The bar is complete with real fire and friendly natives; you can eat here (where inevitably. it can get a bit smoky) or choose the small but comfortable dining room. Either way. the food is very good. no-nonsense and done well using quality ingredients. A starter of roast red pepper tart tasted as good as it looked and in a nice twist on the norm. the case was made of a prettily-shaped parmesan tuile. Rack of lamb was excellent and came with a delicious dauphinoise of celeriac and sweet potato and a crepe parmentier with hollandaise and wild mushrooms was also a dish to write home about - the crepe made with potato rather than the usual batter. This is an unassuming and welcoming treasure of a place. See the Birmingham Post review in full on the archive page. Food: Pub/Bar Not
