Rajdoot Tandoori

 Rajdoot claims a place not just in Birmingham's restaurant heritage but the
country's - it is said that they were the first to introduce tandoori cooking into the UK back in 1966.

 There are now sibling Rajdoots in Manchester. Bristol and Dublin but the Brum granddaddy. now rehomed in up-and-coming Hockley. keeps its head held high.

 In the large. traditional ornate interior. the tandoor specialities are as popular as ever but fish Amritsari (spicily-battered cod in a garlicky tomato sauce) and lamb Punjabi are also regulars in a lengthy list of favourites.
