 A cosy and homely. old-fashioned pub which serves masses of homemade. freshly-prepared dishes.

 The menu is ambitious and although not every flavour combination may quite come off. its ambitions are laudable. Good veggie choice too.

 The spot - on the banks of the Lugg - is idyllic and the area is great for a trip out. with the Mortimer Trail and various gardens and heritage sites within reach.
