Bratz One of Lichfield's more recent ventures. this smart and ambitious place overlooking scenic Minster Pool is the workplace of up-and-coming chef Christopher Bratt-Rose. The food is confident and aspirational. whether it's a starter of warm salad of guinea fowl or goat's cheese bavarois. Some dishes are more successful than others but it's generally very good. A yellow pepper soup with tarragon linguini and pot-roast lamb were particularly enjoyed. a scallop risotto less so. But there's imagination and quality on offer throughout and the historic building is a delight. Certainly worth a visit. See the original Birmingham Post review in full on the archive page.
