ThralesThe quaint old building that is home to Thrales restarant dates back to the 1600s and in its not-so-romantic past it used to be an abattoir. Inside. it's now a cosy. homely sort of place with a menu that plays it pretty straight - maybe Charentais melon with prawns and marie rose dressing or stilton pate to start. followed by some good milk-fed pigeon or seabass. Not all dishes have 100 per cent success rate but a good enough place on the whole.
