This smartly-done-up place is the venture of the sons of the award-winning Howard Arms couple Rob and Gill Greenstock.

It's slightly more modern in feel - although the new has been skilfully blended with the old - but has the same relaxed yet upmarket attitude to food.

All the dishes are chalked up on a blackboard and need to be ordered at the bar. Expect straightforward yet good quality fare with a strongly-contemporary approach. 

A friendly. feelgood pub. with the emphasis firmly on dining rather than drinking.
