Belle HousePershore is a lovely old town and it deserves a smart eaterie like this. The Belle House's wonderfully tall windows look out on to the bustling main street and add panache to an interior which is already smart and elegantly contemporary. A great value menu (lunches are an absolute bargain) offers a rollcall of tempting modern flavours. whether it's succulent shoulder of lamb braised with rosemary and thyme served with roast new potatoes and swede puree or a fabulously flavoursome herb gnocchi with parmesan. creme fraiche and wilted rocket. The restaurant has now been bought out by head chef Steve Waites who now runs the show with sous chef Sue Ellis. a former winner of the Midlands Young Chef of the Year competition.
