The Punchbowl Inn, Bridgnorth has been nominated as a finalist in this years’ prestigious national ‘Publican Trade Customer Service Pub of the Year Award’ – A top rated venue amongst Dinewithus  users, and the regions diners, The Punch Bowl has played host to many special occasions, family carveries, and their popular monthly Sell Out Tribute Nights

– ‘This award nomination is the icing on the cake for us this year ‘ owner Adam Giles comments. ‘It has been a tough twelve months for many in this industry, with pubs closing at a rate of 40 a week, so it is even more important to raise your standards and ensure that when customers do decide the spend their hard earned money with you, their experience is the best possible. Competition was tough, but we are proud to have made the finals”

Adam, pictured with his Restaurant Manager local Charlotte Wenlock, has invested a great deal in the Punch Bowl, ensuring that the decor, environment, and even their toilets, and newly refurbished accommodation suite,  are kept up to date, and offer a pleasant environment for their customer to dine in.

“Many customers enjoy our daily menu, but most head straight for our Award Winning Carvery’ adds Charlotte ’they enjoy the wide range of joints we serve every day, all local or traceable meats, with fresh veg, but the food is just part of their experience. My team ensure that the customers are comfortable, and the fire is lit in the Winter months, and the gardens tended to all year round. All our customers are also encouraged to fill in our comment cards presented with their bill, so we can ensure that any issues are addressed before they leave. We have thousands of reassuring comments, which is a real motivation for our team’

James Day, editor of www.eat-the-midlands.co.uk food website and advisor to many of the regions pubs and restaurants added “This year has been tough for many pubs and restaurants, but those who have focused on customers services, and good strong marketing of offers, have succeeded, and got through the worst. This nomination is a great boost for the region, and will give confidence to many publicans that customer service is key to business growth.”
