The Wood " a “country restaurant and bar" " offers excellent quality and good value food in smartly-refurbished surroundings.

The 150-year-old building (formerly known as Tom o'the Wood) is also in a great spot. nicely rural and with the Grand Union canal for anyone who fancies a towpath stroll to walk off lunch.

It's a good lunch. or dinner. too. with chef Wayne Thomson (formerly of the Welcombe Hotel in Stratford and Nailcote Hall) at the helm.
