Master chef Stephen Bull downsized from his successful London restaurants to this idyllic country pub deep in lovely Herefordshire.

It's worth tracking down as there's some great food to be sampled under its aged beams. Big hearty flavours are the order of the day with good ingredients simply treated to let the flavours shine through unencumbered.

It also has one of the best dessert lists around. Pudding selections are so often neglected and hackneyed but here there's just as much great innovative thinking as elsewhere in the meal. Delicious!
