This is the second place i have eaten in at Shrewsbury can not recall the first place but not worth remembering as was awful, however myself and partner had a lovely starter and main meal here the weekend, lovely surroundings, friendly staff and starter and main were both delicious and of a perfect size portion, A good variety on the menu and also option of some of the menu being on offer 2 for £10 too.

Good points - Dining area is clean, nicely laid out and not crowded. Nice quality crockery and cutlery. Service was quick and time taken between order and food arriving suggests that things are freshly cooked. Staff are friendly and responded promtly to all requests e.g. condiments, drinks etc. Chose the roast of the day (beef) that came with homemade Yorkshire pub and fresh veg - very tasty and nicely presented. Bad points - piped music was a little intrusive. Dessert was a bit of a let down after the mains - frozen bought in stuff. Coffee/Tea is from a vending machine and probably best avoided Overall - well worth a visit for a nice lunch-time meal

Good value for money, service was better than expected for a pub.
