The first and only Kashmiri jazz bar and restaurant. Ty's is named after owner Ty Mamood and is an extraordinary place all round - a converted bank. grade 2 listed and looking rather stately in cream with a smart door canopy.

The interior is pretty cool too. with wooden blinds. high ceilings and stripped floor.

The performers may be more King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys than Miles Davis (call for details) but it makes for a fun. if very loud. evening.

The food is more expensive than your average Indian restaurant but takes account of the fact that often you're getting a band thrown in.
