The White House, Affcot, our family run restaurant is passionate about local produce, and providing only the freshest ingredients to our customers.
We have lived in and around Shropshire all our lives, and coming from rural families, we appreciate the importance of good local suppliers, and regularly visit them to choose the finest ingredients they have to offer – many of them are our life long friends.
The White House was formerly a 17th Century black smiths shop serving horse drawn travellers along the busy A49 Shrewsbury to Ludlow Road.
We now serve a varied table d'hote menu. which changes by the seasons – as well as our regular specials.
Dining
Our restaurant is intimate & friendly. with a good atmosphere and can seat up to 38.
We can also cater for private functions from family events. to parties. and other functions.
Our Garden
Our outlook is stunning over the Shropshire Hills and the Ragleth. You can enjoy this view from our restaurant, or in summer months, sit outside to enjoy your pre-dinner drinks and meal.
Whatever your occasion, whether it be an intimate meal, or just an escape, we would be delighted to welcome you to our restaurant, for some of our freshly prepared local produce.
Please call to make your enquiry. see you soon.
Raymond & Sarah Hall.
PS…on special occasions. & late evenings. it has been known that ‘Sid’ makes an appearance to generally make a noise. and pretend he is the size of a ‘Great Dane’ – but do not be alarmed. he is a pussy cat (well, a Jack Russell actually, but harmless!)
